Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage is the long-awaited new novel—a book that sold more than a million copies the first week it went on sale in Japan—from the award-winning, internationally best-selling author Haruki Murakami.
Here he gives us the remarkable story of Tsukuru Tazaki, a young man haunted by a great loss; of dreams and nightmares that have unintended consequences for the world around us; and of a journey into the past that is necessary to mend the present. It is a story of love, friendship, and heartbreak for the ages.
I hear and read that Haruki Murakami is absolutely BRILLIANT. I’ve been wanting to read one of his books for a very long time. This book will be releasing on August 12th. I plan to pick it up or just purchase the ebook. I haven’t decided yet, but I have until next week.
As you read above, it has already released in Japan and sold over a million copies in its first week, so I’m hoping its a good book. It seems so! The premise looks promising. I will give it a try.
I’ve seen 1Q84 several times when I go to the local bookstore, but I never had the chance to purchase it. Either I’m there looking for another book or I don’t see it while I’m browsing. I want to buy 1Q84 as well.
