I’ve been wanting to read Red Rising by Pierce Brown for sometime now and I finally bought my copy! This is another super hyped book in the book community and I hope it is all what they say it is. Golden Son, the second book in the trilogy was released last week with just as much excitement surrounding it as Red Rising.
I don’t know much about this book, but the part of the story that stands out to me is that it takes place on mars. Yes, mars, the planet. While this may seem a random place for the setting of the story, I can see where the author can go with this. Mr. Brown has full creative control over this story because not much is known about mars academically, so he can pretty much create a world there without much strife from the academic scholars and make it pretty believable as far as he can go with fiction.
There are so many books in my Kindle and on my bookshelf that I want to hopefully to, so I don’t know when I’ll start reading this book. If I get to it before the summer I’ll be surprised. It will get read before the year ends. That is a promise! And I’ll be sure to post a review.
Have any of you read this book? Tell me your thoughts!
